Mr. Murray is resident in the Cayman Islands and is an attorney-at law admitted to practice in the Cayman Islands, the British Virgin Islands and Jamaica; a partner of the Cayman Islands law firm of Nelson & Company; and a director of Maricorp Services Ltd.., a company management firm which is licensed and regulated under the laws of the Cayman Islands by the Cayman Islands Monetary Authority.

Mr. Murray has been engaged in the specialist practice of structuring and advising on offshore investment vehicles for over 16 years since 1993, having specialized in that area in the Cayman Islands since 1998 and for the previous five years in the British Virgin Islands, where he was a senior member of the Mutual Funds and Regulatory team of the leading British Virgin Islands law firm. Mr. Murray has a detailed knowledge of the offshore investment funds industry and prior to joining Nelson & Company in 2002 he served for four years as the head of the investment funds team at another Cayman Islands law firm.

He has served as counsel to numerous offshore investment vehicles, investment managers, administrators and custodians on a variety of matters pertaining to the formation, structuring, regulation, operation, reorganization (including re-domiciliation) and termination of various forms of collective investment vehicles in the Cayman Islands and elsewhere. In the course of his private practice in the Cayman Islands he has repeatedly advised on the requirements of The Money Laundering Regulations made under the Proceeds of Crime Law (Revised), the Mutual Funds Law (Revised), The Securities Investment Business Law (Revised) and the regulations thereunder, and assisted several service providers in liaising with the Cayman Islands Monetary Authority to procure and retain applicable regulatory approval or exemptions to carry on business in or from the Cayman Islands.

In 1985 Mr. Murray was admitted to the degree of Bachelor of Management Science by the University of the West Indies, and received his LLB from that university in 1990. He received his Certificate of Legal Education from the Norman Manley Law School of the Council of Legal Education in the West Indies in 1991.
